Their oldest son, Garrett, struggled with drug addiction for years, and died of an accidental heroin overdose in 2012, at the age of 29. He was working as a strength and conditioning coach for the Philadelphia Eagles at the time, and was found dead in his dorm room at the team’s training camp.
Their second son, Britt, also battled with drug addiction and legal troubles, and was arrested several times for driving under the influence and drug possession.
