The Reid Siblings: A Bond of Friendship and Support

All of their children were born in different states, as Andy moved around the country for his coaching jobs. They also all inherited their father’s love for football, and played or worked in the sport at some point in their lives.

However, Andy Reid and Tammy also faced unimaginable challenges and tragedies as parents. Their oldest son, Garrett, struggled with drug addiction for years, and died of an accidental heroin overdose in 2012, at the age of 29. He was working as a strength and conditioning coach for the Philadelphia Eagles at the time, and was found dead in his dorm room at the team’s training camp.

Their second son, Britt, also battled with drug addiction and legal troubles, and was arrested several times for driving under the influence and drug possession. He served time in prison and rehab, and eventually turned his life around. He followed his father’s footsteps and became a football coach, working as the linebackers coach for the Kansas City Chiefs. However, in February 2021, he was involved in a car crash that left a 5-year-old girl with life-threatening injuries. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and causing serious physical injury.

Their third son, Spencer, played football at Temple University and later joined the coaching staff at BYU. He is currently the offensive line coach at the University of Hawaii. Their daughter, Drew Ann, played soccer at Temple University and later became a nurse. She is married to former NFL player Tommy Crosby, and they have two children together. Their youngest daughter, Crosby, played volleyball at BYU and later became a teacher. She is married to former BYU football player Dylan Collie, and they have one child together.
