He was a phenomenal guitarist and a beautiful human being. He brought so much joy and magic to our music and our lives. We love you, Benaiah. You will always be in our hearts.”

Mo’s Desert Clubhouse, where Fiu had performed his last gig, also posted a tribute on their website, saying: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Benaiah Fiu, who graced our stage on Friday night with Strange Motel. He was an amazing musician and a lovely person, who lit up the room with his talent and personality. He was a regular and a friend of our venue, and we will miss him terribly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, bandmates, and fans.”

A Legacy of Music and Love

Benaiah Fiu’s family and friends are planning to hold a memorial service and a tribute concert for him in the coming weeks. They are also hoping to release some of his unreleased music, which he had been working on before his death.
