Cedella Marley

Cedella Marley is the first biological child of Bob and Marley, born on August 23, 1967. She is named after Bob’s mother, Cedella Booker. Cedella was also a member of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, and sang lead vocals on some of their songs, such as “Tomorrow People” and “Tumblin’ Down”. She also launched a solo career, releasing the albums Good Girls Cult and Hey World in 1995 and 1996, respectively.

Cedella is also a fashion designer, author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She founded the clothing line Catch a Fire, inspired by her father’s music and style. Ziggy Marley is the second biological child of Bob and Rita, born on October 17, 1968. He is also known as David Nesta Marley, after his father’s original name, Nesta Robert Marley. Ziggy was the leader of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, and played guitar, keyboards, and drums. He also wrote most of the songs for the band, such as “Look Who’s Dancing”, “Kozmik”, and “Love Is My Religion”.

Ziggy also embarked on a successful solo career, releasing eight albums, including Dragonfly, Fly Rasta, and Rebellion Rises. He has won eight Grammy Awards, four as a solo artist and four with the Melody Makers. He is also a humanitarian, activist, and environmentalist.

Stephen Marley

Stephanie Marley

Damian Marley is the youngest child of Bob Marley, born on July 21, 1978. He is Bob’s son from a relationship with Cindy Breakspeare, a Jamaican model and former Miss World. Damian is also known as Jr. Gong, after his father’s nickname, Tuff Gong. Damian is a reggae and dancehall artist, and has released five albums, including Halfway Tree, Welcome to Jamrock, and Stony Hill. Julian is a reggae and roots artist, and has released four albums, including Lion in the Morning, A Time and Place, and As I Am. He has been nominated for a Grammy Award for his album Awake in 2009.
