Storyline & Plot
According to IMDb, the plot of this movie is a series of relationships between archetypal characters starting with a casual encounter between a teenage prostitute and a sailor. These relationships represent the various polarized segments of Mexican society, where sexual desire will never develop into love due to class, state, and racial prejudice. Deseo follows Selene, a Spanish woman who lives in New York, through Williamsburg one evening.
Selene takes advantage of a chance to “help” a woman in need because she is unhappy with her own life and is intrigued by a woman she meets that night. She then immerses herself in the woman’s reality. The distinction between providing assistance without asking and taking advantage of her then blurs. This movie is produced by Andrew Fierberg, Edith González, Eric Mathis, Salvador Rocha Díaz, Anna Roth, Eckehardt Von Damm, Erik Zavala Kugler, Patricia Zavala Kugler, and Víctor Zavala Kugler.
