The city of Grantchester is always surrounded by mystery and crime. Sidney Chambers, Will Davenport, and Geordie Keating are some of the sharp minds and police officers/ detectives that come together to solve these mysteries and catch the criminal.
The story starts when a man commits suicide but is declared murdered by his lover, which brings him to the attention of Reverend Sidney Chambers. While enquiring here and there, Sidney comes across Inspector Geordie Keating, who then partners up with him to solve the mystery behind the murder.
In another attempt, when Sidney attends the engagement of an old friend, one of his friends there gets murdered. As the season moves forward, Sidney comes across many mystery shrouded murders that he must solve in order to bring peace to the people.
