The Plot
Madame Web follows the story of Cassie Webb, an EMT who lives in New York City in 2003. Cassie has a normal life until she starts having visions of the future, which are triggered by a spider tattoo on her wrist. She soon learns that the tattoo is a result of a spider bite that her mother, Constance, received while researching spiders in the Amazon rainforest before she died. Constance was pregnant with Cassie at the time, and the spider bite gave Cassie her psychic abilities and extended her lifespan.
Cassie’s visions lead her to three teenage girls: Julia Cornwall, Mattie Franklin, and Anya Corazon, who are also destined to become Spider-Women. Cassie tries to protect them from Ezekiel Sims, a ruthless businessman who also has spider powers and a connection to Cassie’s past. Ezekiel wants to kill the girls because he sees a prophecy that they will be the ones to end his life. Cassie also meets Ben Parker, a fellow paramedic and a friend, who is the uncle of Peter Parker, the future Spider-Man.

Cassie has to face her destiny as Madame Web, a guardian of the web of life and destiny, which connects all the Spider-People across the multiverse. She has to stop Ezekiel from destroying the web and save the girls from his wrath. She also has to deal with the consequences of her actions and the sacrifices she has to make.

I watched Madame Web last night and no joke at no point in the movie do the girls ever wear the costumes shown in the trailer or gain powers. I was dumbfounded when the credits started rolling pic.twitter.com/XNylQqKThU

Ending Explain
The movie ends with a climactic showdown between Cassie and Ezekiel at the top of the Empire State Building. Cassie manages to defeat Ezekiel by stabbing him with a spider-shaped dagger, but not before he shoots her in the chest. Cassie falls from the building but is caught by Julia, Mattie, and Anya, who have arrived to help her. They take her to a hospital, where she survives, but loses her eyesight and the ability to walk.
The movie then shows a flash-forward to the present day, where Julia, Mattie, and Anya are now superheroes keeping the streets of New York safe. They are also in contact with Cassie, who is still alive and has adapted to her new condition.

She also has access to the web of life and destiny, which enables her to see and warn different Spider-People from danger. The movie ends with a shot of the four women smiling and posing together.
