Good news for everyone in Bollywood while we were very disappointed with the opening of the National Film Awards. Bollywood wasn’t getting as many films or awards. But yeah, we have the Best Actress Award for Kangana Ranaut, it’s her birthday tomorrow on 23 March.
So this is even more reason for her to celebrate. And, the very critically acclaimed film Chhichhore (2019) while of course it was an entertainer and it had a lot of loss. But what really caught the audience’s attention at that point was the poisonous message that it was portraying. It was one of Sushant Singh Rajput’s last few films that he actually shot for. Vivek Agnihotri also got an award for The Tashkent Files (2019). His wife Pallavi Joshi got the Best Supporting Actress for The Tashkent Files as well. So it is a huge win for the Hindi film industry with many awards coming in.
Manoj Bajpai is sharing his award and he got his Best Actor nomination. His award for the film called Bhonsle (2018). It is a very interesting film. It did release on OTT platforms, just a couple of months into the lockdown. Unfortunately, he has recently (In March 2021) been diagnosed with COVID-19 and he is in home quarantine at the moment. However, we are trying to get in touch with him and we do hope to hear from him and of course, wishing him a speedy recovery as well.
