Trigger Point Season 2 Potential Release Date: Recap, Cast, Review, Spoilers, Streaming, Schedule & Where To Watch?

Trigger Point Season 2: Trigger Point is a British thriller series that follows the exploits of Lana Washington, an experienced bomb disposal officer working for the Metropolitan Police. The first season, which aired on ITV in February 2022, was a huge hit with viewers, who were hooked by the suspenseful plot, the explosive action, and the stellar performance of Vicky McClure as Lana. The series was created by Daniel Brierley and executive produced by Jed Mercurio, the mastermind behind Line of Duty and Bodyguard.
The first season of Trigger Point focused on a terrorist summer campaign that targeted London with a series of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Lana and her team of expos (explosive ordnance disposal officers) had to deal with the constant threat of bombs, while also trying to uncover the identity and motive of the mysterious bomber. Along the way, Lana faced personal and professional challenges, such as the death of her partner, the suspicion of her colleagues, and the pressure of her superiors.
The first season ended with a shocking twist, as Lana discovered that the bomber was none other than her boss, Commander Bregman, who had orchestrated the attacks as part of a rogue operation to expose corruption within the police force. Lana managed to stop Bregman from detonating a final bomb at a charity gala, but not before he shot and killed her boyfriend, DI Thom Youngblood. The season finale left many questions unanswered, such as what will happen to Lana, how will she cope with her loss, and what will be the consequences of Bregman’s actions.
Fortunately, fans of Trigger Point will not have to wait too long to find out, as ITV has confirmed that the series will return for a second season in January 2024. The second season will consist of six episodes, just like the first one, and will be available to stream on ITVX. Here is everything you need to know about Trigger Point season 2, including the release date, the cast, the plot, the spoilers, the streaming, the schedule, and where to watch.
