Twinkling Watermelon Season 2 will continue the story of Ha Eun Gyeol, a high schooler who travels back in time to 1995 and meets his father, Ha Yi Chan, as a teenager. In the first season, Eun Gyeol joined a band fronted by his future father and tried to help him win the heart of his future mother, Yoon Cheong Ah, who was a cellist.
However, things got complicated when Eun Gyeol developed feelings for Choi Se Kyeong, a cold but talented cellist who was Yi Chan’s crush. Eun Gyeol also had to deal with the consequences of changing the past and the mystery of the music store that enabled his time travel.
Storyline
In the season finale, Eun Gyeol confessed his love to Se Kyeong and kissed her, but then realized that he had to return to his own time. He said goodbye to his father and his friends and ran back to the music store, where he found a note from the mysterious owner, On Eun Yu, who was also Se Kyeong’s older sister.
The note said that Eun Gyeol had to choose between staying in 1995 or going back to 2023 and that his choice would affect the fate of everyone he met. Eun Gyeol hesitated for a moment but then decided to go back to 2023. He entered the store and disappeared, leaving behind his guitar and a tearful Se Kyeong.
