Johnson & Johnson May Launched Its Single-Shot Covid Vaccine in India Soon

India, 9 April 2021 – Johnson and Johnson has informed that it is in touch with Indian regulators and it intends to begin trials in the country. This is subject to approval that comes in from the drug regulator in the country. But, they are prepared in terms of wanting to start trials. So there is the possibility of another vaccine. But remember, this is subject to permission that has to come in from the Drugs Comptroller General of India.
The subject expert committee deliberates on this matter in terms of approval, and right now there is no approval yet. But the good news is that Johnson and Johnson has said it is ready to start trials in the country. Johnson and Johnson are having a conversation with the government. But we all know this process is going to take a while.

But it comes as welcome news because Johnson and Johnson is going to be a one-shot vaccine, which is currently something that the country needs. We are using only two vaccines right now. That’s COVID shield and COVAXIN. And at a time when the country requires more vaccines, it’s welcome news that the single-shot vaccine of Johnson and Johnson could look at submitting its proposal for trials within the country to the drug regulator. We know that the government is very strict on all other manufacturers internationally coming to the country and doing the trials of the Indian population. So suddenly, it is good news.
