Rajnath Singh Releases First Batch Of DRDO’s 2-DG Anti-COVID Drug Today

New Delhi – The first batch of DRDO is anti-COVID 2-DG drug releases today at 10:30 am. The drug has been developed by the DRDO Institute of nuclear medicine and allied sciences in collaboration with Dr. Reddy’s laboratories. Hospitals will begin to receive supplies of the drug From today onwards to start with nearly 10,000 doses will be supplied to various hospitals in the National Capital Delhi.
The Drugs Controller General of India (DGCI) had on May 8 approved the drug for emergency use in moderate to severe cases of Coronavirus. So, the defense minister Rajnath Singh is all set to release 2-DG drug which is the 2 deoxy D glucose drug that is developed by the DRDO and this drug is going to help for treatment of the Coronavirus and is going to be released today by the defense minister Rajnath Singh at 10:30 am.
Now, Rajnath Singh’s official tweet went ahead and said like quote – “I will be releasing the first batch of the anti-COVID drug 2-DG drug video conferencing facility tomorrow at 10:30 am.”
Today, the drug has been developed by the DRDO Institute of nuclear medicine and allied sciences in collaboration with Dr. Reddy’s laboratory. The first batch, of course, is going to have some 10,000 doses of the 2-DG drug which of course is the name of this anti-COVID drug that has been developed by the DRDO and this of course is going to be the first batch.
Let’s not forget that the DRDO anti-COVID drug was approved in the country by DGCI on May 8, and today marks the day when the defense minister is now going to be going ahead and is going to be releasing the first batch of the drug for the nation.
