Air India Pilots Threaten To Stop Work, Demand Covid Vaccination On Priority

New Delhi, May 4, 2021 – Air India pilots union has threatened to stop work after several crew members test positive for COVID. The Union claims COVID positive crew members are struggling to get oxygen cylinders. Air India pilots union says they will stop working if all employees are not vaccinated by the airlines on priority. Air India pilots and aircrew are flying overseas also to bring essential supplies, relief supplies that are required at this point. Are they not being vaccinated on priority?

They are not being vaccinated. And that’s what the union at the moment is alleging. And they’re also saying they have been selflessly working to make sure the country gets the supplies that it needs. However, they are now saying a lot of the crew members have tested positive and what the union is alleging at the moment is unfortunately none of them are getting any sort of help from the management.

They are not getting oxygen, they are not getting hospitalization, which is why they have now decided if they will not be vaccinated, they will stop work in the next few days. We’ll have to wait and watch what the management says. But this is a very big threat coming from the employees of Air India.
