Aurangabad Medical College Reports 58 Faulty Ventilators Under PM Cares Fund

Aurangabad – After Aurangabad Medical College raised alarm about 58 ventilators allotted to aid under the PM cares fund. What we’re learning is that the saying that non-functional and they are in fact beyond repair.

Now the state government has conducted an audit of these ventilators in which they found that 1600 ventilators supplied to 19 state-run Medical Colleges from the PM Case Fund for tackling the worst ever pandemic situation. 400 are non-functional and beyond repair.

The state has written to the center regarding these faulty ventilators but hasn’t received a reply up until now. The state feels that these faulty ventilator center items must change or provide assistance to repair with help of the manufacturer.

So big news coming in from Aurangabad what we’re learning is that Aurangabad Medical College has now raised an alarm of 58 ventilators allotted to it under the PM cares fund that is not functional and beyond repair.

This is not the first time where this complaint has come regarding the ventilator defects provided by the PM cares fund. But of course, in Aurangabad there already situation is critical when it comes to COVID cases. And of course, COVID cases also coming in, and meanwhile, 58 ventilators that were allotted by PM cares funds are not functioning at all and they are beyond repair.

So now the state government over here has conducted an audit of these ventilators in which they found that 1600 ventilators which were supplied to 19 state-run Medical Colleges from the PM cares fund for tackling the worst ever pandemic situation 400 are non-functional and beyond repair.

The state has written to the central government regarding these faulty ventilators but has yet not received any reply. States will bet the guilty ventilators center either must change or provide assistance to repair with the help of manufacturers. Apart from this as I already mentioned in the beginning that in past as well we have received a lot of complaints when it comes to the ventilators which have been provided by the PM cares fund. Where most of them are non-functional.

Even, we cannot just repair them on an immediate basis. And we can understand the need for an hour when it comes to the ventilator. And when a patient is kept on a ventilator, then of course for changing it or then repairing it loses all the hopes of the doctors as well.

So now here, the doctor from the Medical College has come together and has raised this issue, because this is not only a case that has come in Aurangabad but in other parts of the state as well.

Many students, many doctors are facing the same issue. And because of that as well, a lot of deaths have taken place already. That is the reason that this has come in line with Limelight and also after raising such a big number of defaulted ventilators. The state has written to the center regarding the change or the assistance to repair the same.

But, Of course, we have not received any reply or any kind of help from the Center. This is what the state government is saying. So soon, we can expect a revert or maybe a change in the ventilators which have coming but, of course, we can understand that out of 1600, 400 are non-functional, then the ratio is quite big and very severe and strict action must be taken regarding the same.
