On April 1, 2021, a court in Delhi has asked the Delhi police to file a reply at the earliest on a bail application by 26th January violence accused Deep Sidhu. The District judges to take up the matter at 2 pm today to decide which court will further hear the case.
Deep Sidhu has been in the dark ever since that violence erupted in the capital city on the 26th of January. And he was arrested a few weeks ago, but replied to the bail application has been sought, and the matter is going to be heard today in court. Deep Sidhu was accused of inciting crowds and provoking them to march and launched an attack in the capital city pertaining to the farmers’ protests on the 26th of January. It’s been a long and winding road for Deep Sidhu. And Delhi court has asked the police to file a reply pertaining to his bail application, which is perhaps a tall order considering the kind of offenses he’s been charged with.
Sidhu has still not been charged with UAPA Act because of that, you know, it’s all charges that have been filed against him and are still under bailable offenses. And that’s exactly why the court in Delhi has asked the Delhi police to file a reply at the earliest on the bail application of Deep Sidhu. The district judge will take up the matter today at around 2 pm and will decide which court will get the case.
