Election Commission Bans Victory Processions After Poll Results, 2 People Allowed to Collect Winning Certificate

Mumbai, 27 April 2021 – Big breaking news coming in from Maharashtra, the Election Commission of India has banned all Victory Processions on or after the day of the counting of votes on the 2nd of May. More details on the order are going to take place are going to be announced very, very soon. The Bombay High Court going ahead and giving this diktat much required at this point of time because the second May, the counting day and the result is coming on for the five assembly state elections that had been taking place full-fledged and this is only going to help curtail the number of Coronavirus cases spiking in the country.
The Election Commission of India has banned the victory processions on the result day or after that which is going to lead to curtailing of those celebrations from various political parties be the TMC, the BJP, the Congress, the left parties, the DMK whose so ever goes ahead and wins these elections. The Election Commission of India taking action this time around and a pre-emptive one. Something just not seen something which was not seen earlier because there had been a demand of allowing for cutting of those rallies, a decision taken by the ECI, much too late in the last two phases of elections in Bengal.

It’s a big decision of the Election Commission, Election Commission clearly says that no victory Processions after the counting of 12 May shall be permissible. Second important thing is that the Election Commission in his order also said that not more than two persons shall be allowed to accompany a winning candidate on his or her authorized representative received a certificate of election from the returning officer concerned.
That means only two persons will be allowed if any candidate will win only 2 people will allow. Earlier once we have witnesses in that election that any candidate won in the election there are hug gatherings outside of the returning officer whenever they were going for the winning certificate. But now EC also made it clear that not more than 2 people shall be allowed to accompany the winning candidate his or her authorized representative receive the winning certificate of election from the returning officer concern.
