He is described by his loved ones as a kind, caring and funny person who enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He has a wife and two children who miss him dearly.
Miller works as a welder at a local factory and is known to be a hard-working and reliable employee. He has no history of mental health issues, substance abuse or criminal activity. He has no known enemies or conflicts with anyone.
What Happened on January 8, 2024?
According to the missing poster shared by his family on social media, Miller was last seen on January 8, 2024, at around 9:30 p.m. at the Ayerco convenience store in Alexandria, Missouri. He was wearing a high-visibility jacket and overalls. He was driving a black 2019 Ford F-150 truck with Iowa license plate number 123ABC.
Lane Miller had left his home in Keokuk earlier that day to run some errands and visit some friends. He told his wife that he would be back by 10 p.m. However, he never returned home and his phone was turned off. His family tried to contact him several times but got no response.
The next day, his family reported him missing to the Keokuk Police Department. They also contacted his friends and co-workers, but none of them had seen or heard from him since January 8. His truck was also nowhere to be found.

What Have the Police Done So Far?
The Keokuk Police Department has been working with the Alexandria Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol to investigate Miller’s disappearance. They have reviewed the surveillance footage from the Ayerco convenience store, which confirmed that Miller was there on January 8. However, the footage did not show him leaving the store or getting into his truck.
