Strays Movie Storyline and Plot
A man’s best friend is a dog, but what if the man is a complete dirtbag? If that’s the case, it might be time for sweet doggy retaliation. Reggie, a naive, unwaveringly optimistic Border Terrier (played by Will Ferrell) is abandoned on the mean city streets by his shady owner, Doug (played by Will Forte). Reggie is certain that his beloved owner would never intentionally leave him. Reggie finally realizes that he was in a toxic relationship and begins to see Doug for the heartless sleazeball.
Once Reggie falls in love with a fast-talking, foul-mouthed Boston Terrier named Bug (played by Oscar winner Jamie Foxx), a stray who loves his freedom and believes that owners are for suckers. Reggie, Bug, and Bug’s friends, including Maggie, a stressed-out Great Dane who works as an emotional support animal, and Doug, an anxious Great Dane, come up with a plan and set out on an epic journey to help Reggie get home and make Doug pay by biting off the appendage he loves the most.
