It shows that ACP Birla Bose IPS (played by Vikram Prabhu) is a ruthless encounter specialist and a straightforward cop from the Mumbai Police Department. His only motive is to keep the city crime-free and has an exceptional record of encounters. Because of his behavior, he got stuck in trouble with the human rights commission.
Due to one of the incidents, he lost his job and got suspended, After getting suspended he had a fight with his mother and also broke up with his girlfriend Mythili Mohan (acted by Hansika Motwani). Afterward, Birla Bose received a phone call from his senior to move to Rameshwaram and investigate the brutal rape case of a 15-year-old girl. He got to know that the local police have arrested a man named Aazad in relation to the murder.
Later, he met the father of the murdered girl named Uyyavandhan, who tells him his side of the story in detail. The movie further shows how will he solve the case and find the culprit.
