Lynette Romero’s Journalism Career
After finishing her graduation, Lynette Romero began working as a reporter at KVUE-TV. She worked there for 1 year and later joined KUSA-TV. In the year 1992, the anchor was promoted to general assignment reporter. She stuck to the KUSA-TV from the year 1988 to 1998.
While working as a reporter she worked on the stories like a stand-off in Waco, in the year 1993, the visit of the Pope, and the bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City. After leaving KUSA-TV, she joined KTLA station in Los Angeles, California, and started working there. Within a short time, Lynette won the Golden Mike Award for her amazing work which she had done in the ‘Public Schools: Working the System’ KTLA News series.
Apart from this, is also a member of the California Chicano News Media Association and Colorado Hispanic Media Association. In fact, Romero teaches an anchoring and reporting class at the UCLA Extension where she often speaks at various public functions and local schools.
