Wyatt Lewis Parents: Meet Cy-Fair HS Graduate’s Father and Mother

Wyatt Lewis Parents:- Wyatt Lewis is a remarkable young man who has overcome a tragic past and achieved a bright future. He is a recent graduate of Cy-Fair High School in Houston, Texas, and the recipient of a $20,000 scholarship from the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

Who are Wyatt Lewis’s Parents? What Happened to them?

Wyatt’s life was turned upside down when he was only six years old. His parents, David Lewis, and Michelle Lewis, were arrested and convicted of murdering his aunt, Debra Kelly, in 2010. They were sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Wyatt and his younger sister were placed in foster care and separated from each other. They endured abuse and neglect from some of their foster families. Wyatt said he felt alone and hopeless.

“I didn’t have anyone to talk to, anyone to trust, anyone to love me,” he said.

A Turning Point

Wyatt’s situation changed for the better when he was adopted by his grandparents, John and Linda Lewis, when he was 12 years old. They gave him a stable and loving home and encouraged him to pursue his education.

Wyatt excelled at school, especially in math and science. He joined the robotics team and the National Honor Society. He also participated in community service projects and mentored younger students.

Wyatt said his grandparents taught him the value of hard work and resilience.

“They always told me that no matter what happens in life, you can always bounce back,” he said.

A Bright Future

Wyatt graduated from Cy-Fair High School with a 4.0 GPA and ranked 18th out of 894 students in his class. He applied for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo scholarship and was thrilled when he found out he was one of the 494 recipients.

The scholarship will help him pursue his dream of becoming an aerospace engineer. He plans to attend Texas A&M University in the fall and major in aerospace engineering.

Wyatt said he hopes to work for NASA or SpaceX someday and contribute to the exploration of space.

“I’ve always been fascinated by space and rockets,” he said. “I want to be part of something bigger than myself.”

Wyatt said he is grateful for the opportunity to go to college and achieve his goals. He said he wants to make his grandparents proud and inspire others who face challenges in life.

“I want to show people that no matter what you go through, you can still succeed,” he said. “You just have to believe in yourself and never give up.”
