Doctor William Harvey: A Life Devoted to Animals
Dr. William Harvey was born on June 15, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up with a passion for animals and decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1971 and opened his own clinic, the Lemay Plaza Veterinary Clinic, in 1975.
William specialized in small animal medicine and surgery, treating dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other pets. He was also involved in various animal welfare organizations, such as the Humane Society of Missouri, the Animal Protective Association of Missouri, and the St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Harvey was known for his kindness, generosity, and professionalism, always going the extra mile for his patients and their owners. He was also a mentor and a role model for many young veterinarians, sharing his knowledge and experience with them.
Dr. William Harvey was married to his wife, Susan, for 45 years and had three children, Michael, Jennifer, and David, and seven grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and a lover of music and movies. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved pets, Max, a golden retriever, and Fluffy, a Persian cat.
