157 Candidates has been announced by BJP for Bengal in Second List

On March 18, 2021, various protests have broken out once in Bengal again after the BJP announced its final list of candidates for the Bengal election. The BJP has announced 148 candidates on Thursday. Overall 157 names have been announced.
As per the reports, nine former Trinamool MLA have got tickets from the BJP. This clearly has ruffled many feathers the names announced for the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth phase of the Bengal election. Interestingly, Dilip Ghosh has not been contesting the assembly polls.
He’s not going to contest but however, some big names will be Mukul Roy. He’s been included and his son is also going to contest. Mukul is fighting elections from Krishnanagar North in the Nadia district. One more MP has been fielded taking the total number of MPs who’ve been fielded in a local election to fight BJP MP Jagannath Sarkar is going to be contesting from Santipur in Nadia.
The other MPs include Babul Supriyo and Locket Chatterjee. This is a breakup as far as the list is concerned. Meanwhile, interesting developments have actually taken place yesterday because BJP workers have been protesting after the list was announced.
This happened when the first list was announced as well. After these protests, the BJP is reacted. They have changed their candidate from Alipurduar and haven’t in fact replaced the eminent economist Ashok Lahiri with a local candidate so Lahiri’s candidacy was being contested.
The BJP protests took place yesterday. He was given a ticket from the Alipurduar seat and now a local candidate Suman Kanjilal has been given the ticket instead.
