Election Commission has Asked Health Ministry to Remove PM Narendra Modi’s Picture From COVID Certificates After TMC Complaint

The election commission has asked the health ministry to remove the Prime Minister’s photo from COVID certificates in full bound states. This comes after the Trinamool Congress has written to the election commission questioning these certificates. Essentially after vaccination, the certificate was handed out and it had a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Election Commission after the letter from Trinamool has ordered that this photo of the Prime Minister not be put up on the vaccination certificates in full bound states. So in Bengali, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, and Pondicherry, the Prime Minister’s pictures can not be used in the COVID vaccination certificate.
This is the big breaking news that’s coming in the pool panel acting after the Trinamool Congress had raised objections to these certificates saying that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s picture there seems to almost be an attempt to take credit for the vaccination and said that this is in a way a campaign.
This is a big decision by the Election Commission after directing that picture to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi be removed from petrol pumps, you’ve now got this decision of removing the Prime Minister’s photo from COVID vaccination certificates. Well, this was a complaint that was raised by the TMC and the Election Commission studied the complaint and then they read the MCC rules and according to MCC rules, there is a possibility of these certificates being used as a way to garner more votes, which is what the Election Commission fought off, which is why they have now spoken with the health ministry and they are asking healthcare industry to remove the photos in these five bound states.
PM Narendra Modi’s photograph of the COVID certificate has to be removed. And from the understanding of former sources within the election commission, the commission is also asked apart from removing these photos to look for a possible technical solution. The photograph of the prime minister will be removed with a common base. The health ministry is still yet to come out with an official statement but the Election Commission of India (ECI) is very clear. They have asked the health ministry to look for an alternative solution and to remove the photographs of the Prime Minister from COVID certificates.
