Mamata Banerjee Criticized PM Narendra Modi over the Women’s Reservation Bill on Women’s Day 2021

The political face of brewing between the TMC and the Bharatiya Janata Party over the issue of women’s safety on Women’s day. Mamata Banerjee, today question the center over the delay of the women’s reservation bill.
In a tweet, she flaunted the fact that TMC is 41% women. Among it’s closer by MPs and 50% reservation for women in local bodies. It’ll be to reach out to women voters being.
Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, will be leading a rally to put light on women’s issues in Kolkata on March 08, 2021. Mamata’s march will also highlight the state of women’s safety.
In BJP ruled states like Uttar Pradesh for example, to come to a Mamata’s rally top women leaders of the BJP addressed a press conference at 3:00 pm to raise the plight of women in Bengal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his rally in Kolkata as brigade parade ground just last evening had pointed out the state of women and children in Bengal.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee hitting back at the prime minister said that women in Bengal can roam freely even after midnight, unlike states like UP for example, where women can’t even step out of the house after 3 in the afternoon.
The very fact that the TMC has, in fact, given more representation to women, be it seat allocation, or be ticket distribution, or even eventually them entering the parliament.
They’ve done fairly well as compared to other parties. And they’ve always taken pride in this. In 2019, on March 8, also, Mamata Banerjee had tweeted about the women’s reservation bill and had said that there was 35% of reservation for the women from the TMC in the parliament and also had gone out to speak about the local bodies where women have represented the local bodies from remote Congress.
50 seats were there in the local body. Earlier, at that time, she also talked about this problem. And now two years later, in 2021 she’s brought up the same issue. March 8th happens to be an important day because this is when Mamata Banerjee has always started her election campaign be it in 2014 or 2019 for the loss of elections or even 2016 for the Assembly elections.
However, this year, the campaigning started way back at the end of 2020, because of the tough fight that Congress is getting from the BJP. And today, the rally is going to symbolize how Congress is playing the women’s guard and talking about the safety of women, and also the representation of women when it comes to the lower house or when it comes to the Parliament in general.
The fact that Congress is a party that looks at women in very high respect, and the fact that when it comes to crimes against women in the BJP ruled states, is something which the Congress has hit out.
The BJP ruled states are not doing well when it comes to women’s safety. And that exactly is the issue that she’s going to be bringing back.
