Ponzi Scams – CBI, ED Summons TMC Leaders Partha Chatterjee & Madan Mitra
The Central Bureau of Investigation summoned Partha Chatterjee and Madan Mitra in the Ponzi scam case. They are asked to appear before CBI on March 12, 2021. They issued summons to TMC Secretary-General and senior West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee in connection with the I-Core Ponzi scam.
The senior TMC leader Partha was asked to arrive before the agency CGO complex in Kolkata on the 13th of March 2021. He confirmed that he has received the summons but whether he’s going or not is yet not known confirmed. Like Saradha and Rose Valley should fund companies I-Core to raise money from the public by several fraudulent schemes that are floated by it.
Meanwhile, there’s another senior TMC leader Madan Mitra, who has been summoned by the ED in connection with Saradha’s chit fund scam probe. We learned from sources that he has been asked to present before ED officials on the 19th of March.
However, Mitra has denied receiving any summons. He has stated that he will cooperate with the probe agencies if he’s called in for questioning.
As far as Partha Chatterjee is concerned, the Central Bureau of Investigation is investigating more than 40 chit fund cases in the directions of the Supreme Court. And now what CBI claims that during the investigation of one of the chit fund cases that is I-Core Ponzi scam became across role possible involvement of Partha Chatterjee and that is why he has been summoned to appear before the agency on 15th of this month.
Apart from that, Madan Mitra has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with another chit fund case. And there are other leaders of the Trinamool Congress who are under investigation under the scanner of CBI and ED in multiple cases, right from the coal smuggling cases to cattle smuggling cases.
The chit fund cases earlier also there have been many times senators. Their statements have been recorded by the CBI and the enforcement record. Now CBI and ED both the agencies are working on the case and one by one the TMC leaders are being called by the agencies just before the elections.
