Tamil Nadu Elections – DMK is Expected to Release Manifesto Today

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is now likely to release its manifesto for the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on March 11, 2021. Earlier, it was expecting that the manifesto to be released yesterday on March 10, 2021. M.K. Stalin, on Wednesday, had said that the party’s manifesto for the Assembly elections will be for the people and it will be drafted with the participation of the people also.
He even talked about the fact how this manifesto essentially will be the hero of the Tamil Nadu election. But already people have seen shades of populism from the DMK. They have seen promising Rs. 1000 to women who are the head of the households.
Thereafter matched by the AIADMK which came out and said that they will give 1500 rupees to women who are heads of household. So it is likely to be very heavy on populism. This is what that people can expect from the manifesto and of course, hopes are very high because he’s called the hero of the Tamil Nadu elections.
The DMK’s first list of candidates is also expected to be released today as well. During the mass rally that was held in Tiruchirappalli just last week, M.K. Stalin had put out the seven promises. If the DMK comes to power these seven promises that they will be implementing in Tamil Nadu to ensure the betterment of the state.
In the next 10 years, one of those pointers also included giving allowances for housewives with a monthly amount of Rs. 1000. This statement by M.K. Stalin was in fact, criticized heavily by Chief Kamal Kaasan and several other parties as well.
Right after M.K. Stalin introduced the 1000 rupees, the AIADMK had also said that they would be given 1500 rupees for the housewives. This was a statement that had been put in place by the AIADMK camp as well.
