According to news published related to her death than two unknown men entered her home in the Chadoora area of Budgam around 7:50 P.m on 25th May 2022. They both started forcing Amreen to come with them to sign the shooting assignment.
When Amreen refuses to come with them they fired on her in which she lost her life. Along with Amreen, her 10 years old nephew was near to her. Her nephew also got injured. Amreen family members rushed her to Chadoora hospital from where she was referred to SMHS hospital in Srinagar. At SMHS hospital doctor declared her dead.
