Christy auditioned for JKT48 in 2018 when she was only 12 years old. She passed the first round of the audition and became a trainee of the JKT48 Academy Class B. She later moved up to Class A and debuted on the stage of the JKT48 Theater on December 16, 2018, along with two other trainees, Aurel Mayori and Helisma Putri.
