When Charles Tiu Blazers use to play for his college team Ateneo Blue Eagles he was honored as the Favorite Athlete. Leaving his college he became a member of the Philippine Basketball Association. Under PBA he played for the Shine Elasto Painters team.
During his career with the National team Philippine, he remained a captain of the Smart Gilas Pilipinas national team from 2008 to 2012.
