Director Adrian Lyne has filmed this movie on the basis of the story of a 1957 novel written by Patricia Highsmith. The name Deep Water has already been used in the original Novel and Adrian Lyne doesn’t change it. The complete movie stars famous actors like Ben Affleck and Anna De Armas.
Director Lyne has filmed this movie after 20 years as he has last directed the movie Unfaithful in 2002.
Deep Water- Story
Screening the story from novel to digital screen with eminent actors has given something new to the audience. Vic Van Allen (Ben Affleck) and Melinda Van Allen (Ana de Armas) have been showcased as a married couple and parents of one daughter. They use to live in a Little Wesley, Louisiana with their daughter Trixie. In the story, their marriage has been showing just as a deal in between two because Melinda was allowed to do anything. Even she can go for extramarital affairs so that Melinda and her husband Vic Van should not need to divorce. But the independence of Melinda that is helping her to make a new lover every day is raising high jealousy against her lover inside Vic’s mind.
After it story turns into an erotic psychological thriller when Melinda’s one boyfriend Joel Dash came to know from her husband at one party that she has murdered her previous boyfriend. Joel raises a question in front of Melinda regarding her previous relations and gets separated from Melinda.

Adrian Lyne began working on this project in 2013 and he then reached Fox 2000 Picture Company to get finance for the making. And later Walt Disney Studio Motion pictures agreed to distribute the movie when they came to know about the high star cast of Deep Water.
Then finally with the consent of every official filming of the movie began on November 2, 2019. Earlier this movie was all set to be released on November 13, 2020, but as we all know that the spread of Covid-19 has stopped many films to be released and the same happened with Deep Water.
Later its date was again changed from August 13, 2021, to January 14 and now finally it is released on March 18, 2022.

Since the movie is released the Rotten Tomatoes website famous for reviewing movies has given it an average rating of 5/10. It stated that viewers may find this movie a new erotic thriller but it is not the best work of director Adrian Lyne.

After the other half of the story Melinda’s next lover Mr. Charlie De Lisle also makes Vic Van jealous when Charlies gets cozy with Melinda at a pool party.
Suddenly during the pool party, heavy rainfall starts and every party members rush inside the farmhouse. But then in the meanwhile, they came to know that Charlie is dead outside in the pool due to drowning. Charlie’s death makes Vic so much high in his mind.
When police enter the farmhouse for investigation upon asking Melinda immediately accuses her husband Vic Van of killing her boyfriend Charlie De Lisle.
But still, the police remain unable to find proof against Vic Van that he is a killer and till then suspense continues in the movie that who is the killer.
After it, many scenes of investigation are shown when movies step forward and in the meanwhile, Director opens the suspense in front of his audience. Another murderer of Melinda’s boyfriend Tony Cameron is then presented in front of an audience. Vic Van finally appears killing Tony Cameron in the woods when he finds him alone there.
Later in the end finally Vic Van Allen is caught by the private investigator Mr. Don Wilson.
