Doris Bergman was born in San Francisco, California to her parents in 1954. After completing her schooling in her hometown she began her college life. She was an alumnus of Mt. St. Mary’s College in Brentwood California where she went to have her degree in Music. She then went to the University of Southern California for her master’s degree in Music in Piano performance.

Doris Bergman was a married woman. She married her husband attorney Albert L. Sassoe, Jr. Her husband died along with her during their house catch fire. Albert L. Sassoe, Jr. was working as Attorney since the 80’s era.

After completing college Doris Bergman began following her path as a popular booking manager for the Los Angeles ‘Pops Orchestra. As a manager, she introduced talented artists like Donna Summer, Nell Carter, Jose Feliciano, Robin Williams, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jack Jones, John & Bonnie Raitt, and many others.
She then becomes the Executive Director/Booking Manager of the Embassy Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. She got this job because she was having good relations with major symphony orchestras and conductors. While working for Embassy Theater she booked The Mozart Orchestra, The Los Angeles ‘Pops’ Orchestra, The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and many others.
Later in 1987 she also organized a concert that was organized to provide benefits to AIDS patients. She collected funds to help people. This AIDS benefit concept name was APLA’s “Commitment to Life.”
