Tracy Cortez Accuses Jasmine Jasudavicius of Hair-Pulling in Noche UFC Fight
Tracy Cortez is not happy with how her opponent Jasmine Jasudavicius fought at Noche UFC on September 16, 2023. The undefeated flyweight claimed that she intentionally pulled her hair several times during their three-round battle, which Cortez won by unanimous decision.
Cortez spoke to MMA Fighting after the fight and expressed her frustration with Jasudavicius’ tactics. She said, “She pulled my hair like four times. It was not an accident. She was doing it on purpose. She was trying to get an advantage. She was cheating.”
Cortez said that she felt the hair-pulling in the first round, when Jasudavicius attempted to take her down. She said that she told the referee, but he did not warn her . She said that she tried to ignore it and focus on the fight, but it affected her performance.
“It was annoying. It was distracting. It was painful. It was unfair. It made me lose my rhythm. It made me lose my position. It made me lose my confidence. It made me lose my respect for her,” Cortez said.
Cortez said that she expected a fair fight from Jasudavicius, who was making her UFC debut after a successful run in the regional circuit. She said that she respected her as a fighter, but not as a person.
“I thought she was a good fighter. I thought she was a tough opponent. I thought she was a clean fighter. But she proved me wrong. She showed me that she is a dirty fighter. She showed me that she is a desperate fighter. She showed me that she is a disrespectful fighter,” Cortez said.
