According to the sources, Kalicharan Maharaj was invited as a guest to a religious program held at ‘Dharam Sansad’ in Raipur in December 2021. While delivering his speech to his devotees, he used some devasted words against Father Mahatma Gandhi and said that he destroyed the country. He also praised Nathuram Godse, who murdered Gandhi Ji. He hurt the feelings of many people with his anti-Gandhi speech.
As per the reports, Chhattisgarh police lodged an FIR against him under sections 294 and 505 (2) of IPC. The FIR was filed by a Congress worker and former Mayor named Pramod Dubey.
