When she was in her school she won a gold medal during her boarding school’s annual Winter Olympic games that were held in Hokkaido, Japan.
When she was in high school she moved to Northwestern U.S. She then began performing to grab certificates in PSIA and from Northwest Technical Team.

Career- Ski Coach
Karin Harjo has begun working in 2011 as Western Region Alpine Coach. She worked as Western Region Alpine Coach till 2015. After it, she got transferred as a Women’s Alpine Coach from 2015 to 2012. She worked in both these positions under US Ski & Snowboard. In April 2022 she joined the Head Women’s Alpine Coach of Alpine Canada Alpin for which she is currently working.
In March 2023 Karin made the news that she will begin training player Mikaela Shiffrin after leaving her post as the Alpine Canada Women’s National Coach. Karin has remained the only women’s Head Coach currently in the World Cup circuit and the second in history.
