Knives Out 2 Release Date:- Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few weeks, you’d have heard that Netflix has bought two knives-out sequels for an incredible amount of $450 million. With a big portion of that going to the movie’s director slash writer, Rian Johnson, and to its star Daniel Craig, but other than the eyewatering amount of money paid for the sequel, what else do we know about it? Well, let’s take a look. CSI KFC. As we said, a big part of the amount of money being spent is going to Rian Johnson, who created the first movie to write and direct the sequels once again.
It is also being used to retain the movie star Daniel Craig, who will be returning to the role of charismatic southern sleuth, Benoit Blanc. As of right now, no other members of the original cast are set to return with Jamie Lee Curtis confirming that none of the thrombi will be appearing in the sequel, but seeing is that story tied up pretty nicely and this next movie is set to center around a different case. That’s not also surprising. But who will be starring alongside Craig in this movie Exactly?
Well, while the cast list hasn’t been fully confirmed at the time of working on this video, the movies actors include Guardians of the Galaxy and army of the dead star Dave Batista Fight Club and American History X actor Ed Norton, Hidden Figures and antebellum Janelle Monae Hamilton star Leslie Odom, Jr. Almost Famous and fool’s gold actor Kate Hudson, and one Division’s very own Kathryn Hahn, who if she is the killer has to be revealed with an Agatha all along song I mean, come on, it’s just a given.

All About Knives Out 2: Netflix
As we said though, this isn’t the finalized list and with there being several big stars in there already, we very much anticipate there being an equally massive cast to the first one, one potential star from the first movie that might make it appearances Ana de Armas, who has said she would like to work with director Rian Johnson at some point, but that is just speculation at this stage. Another rumor has Midsummer’s Florence Pugh joining the cast after Johnson followed her on Twitter, but that’s admittedly a bit of a reach.

It’s probably honestly, we don’t know anything about the plot right now as like in any criminal case, the truth is being kept very well hidden so we don’t know what the sequel will entail and what kind of caper Benoit blanc will be embroiled in this time. Sorry to disappoint you there. One thing we can confirm though is that the sequel will move away from the US and its New England location.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
Instead taking place in the Mediterranean and the warmer shores of Greece. As we’ve said before, this movie is a standalone and as effectively an anthology movie just like the works of Agatha Christie, and the escapades of investigator Hercule Poirot. One thing we can expect to see is an intricate and neatly woven mystery for Benoit to solve. And Benoit’s blog will be topped off with smooth dialogue, zany humor, and wacky characters just like the first movie. Okay, so here’s a fun one that we wanted to throw out there for you.
For some reason, we feel like a movie is going to take place on like some super yacht in a Greek harbor and have a similar cluster phobic mystery vibe to Murder on the Orient Express or death on the Nile or something like that. But when can we expect to Shido movie to arrive on Netflix, I already hear you ask. Well, that’s a good question and one that I yet again don’t have an answer for. Sorry, I know we’re dropping the ball here today. But look, production for the movie was supposed to start early last year in 2020.
But as you can imagine, the pandemic got in the way and has subsequently prevented the sequel from really moving forward so far. Seeing as the first movie made over $300 million, though, the production team will be hoping they can get the sequels rolling pretty quickly. As we mentioned, the forecast is still yet to be confirmed or announced. But it’s believed that filming will begin next month in June, although how long filming will take and how long production will run as a whole is for the moment completely unknown. But as we mentioned, both Johnson and Craig want to get this movie done pretty quickly.

I mean, there is a lot of money at stake after all, and they want to get ready to move on to the next one while everyone is still young. Ish. So if everything goes according to plan, we might be able to expect the sequel to drop on Netflix at some point in the next year, possibly around Thanksgiving or Christmas.
