Michael Cammett (born December 22, 1996 – died June 27, 2021) was a professional wrestler and grappler from North Arlington, New Jersey. He was famous for achieving various titles like IWF Junior Heavyweight Championship, IWF 2014 Wrestler of the Year, etc at this young age. Michael was also known as the Golden Boy.
The news of his death made the whole city shock. According to the reports on June 27, 2021 (Sunday) he died by drowning in the river Delaware River, USA. NY police found his body from the river off Lumberland, a town in Sullivan County, near Pennsylvania.
Cammett went to the river with friends around 3 p.m. using a pair of inflatable rafts tethered together and at 4:49 p.m. state police from the Liberty, barracks responded to the National Parks Service Station for a report of a missing swimmer. The wrestler jumped in the river but did not resurface, which causes his death. The investigation of the incident is still going on.
