A Record-Breaking Debut
Musheer Khan made his debut in the inter-school Giles Shield U-14 tournament in 2011, when he was just six years and nine months old. Musheer Khan’s century powers India to a big win over Ireland in U19 World Cup
Musheer Khan, the 18-year-old all-rounder from Mumbai, smashed a brilliant 118 off 106 balls to help India beat Ireland by 201 runs in their second group match of the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 in Bloemfontein on Thursday.
Musheer, who is the younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan, a former India U19 player and a current Delhi Capitals batsman, showed his class and confidence as he hit 9 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. He also shared a 156-run stand with captain Uday Saharan, who scored 75 off 84 balls, to lift India to a formidable total of 301 for 7 after being asked to bat first by Ireland.
His knock came on the same day when his brother Sarfaraz scored a magnificent 161 off 160 balls for India A against England Lions in the second unofficial Test in Ahmedabad.
