Oh My Dog Story
Oh My Dog is a movie that showcases pure bonding and friendship between a Siberian Husky breed dog and a school kid Arjun (Arnav Vijay.) The bonding between the dog and the kids shows off that the disability either of humans or animals cannot create a difference in friendship and love. Every disabled person or Animal has equal rights as equal to normal ones.
Director Sarov Shanmugams’s intention to let people understand the fact of equality is good and must be appreciated. Arjun’s father’s role is played by actor Arun Vijay as Shankar and Arjun use to live with him and his grandparents in Ooty. But before telling more about the Arjun movie introduce the negative character Fernando (Vijay). Fernando is a businessman who deals in animals especially dogs breeds and trains dogs for different dog competitions. He states him as the six times continuous winner of the dog championship.
He used to be a pure business and even the life of dogs doesn’t matter to him in front of his business. He uses to scold his dog for not breeding puppies. And then in the meanwhile, a new puppy Siberian Husky got born but he got born completely blind. When Fernando came to know about his blindness he orders his men to kill it.
But somehow newborn puppy gets escapes from Fernando’s men’s supervision and then it is saved by Arjun where the story takes a turn.
Arjun gives him the name Simba and then various good friendship scenes have been showcased between the dog and the kid. In the end, you will find how Arjun gets to prepare completely blind Simba for the dog competition to bring down the ego of Fernando which is very interesting to watch till the end.

According to the Times of India, its team of editors and critics has given Oh My Dog a rating of 2.5 out of 5. Whereas IMDB has given 8.3 out of 10 to this movie.
Oh My Dog Review
The story of the movie becomes predictable before the first half of the movie as everyone gets understands that the small puppy will win the heart of the audience with its disabled character. But still how movies step further one by one is what makes the audience sit in their seats and watch till the end.
For long many movies have been released by Indian cinema based on the emotional subjects related to animals but still director Sarvo Shanmugam didn’t match the standards of West movies that are far better than every Indian cinema’s movie based on this same subject.
Actor Arnav Vijay has done good acting as a debut actor in this movie but still, a lot of hard work has to be done by him in his upcoming projects to win the heart of the audience. Complete movie the character Arjun and Simba are the two that locks the audience with their roles and the other characters don’t make it big.
Ending the review that Oh My Dog is not as bad as to watch but it is especially good to watch for kids.
