Pastor Ezekiel moved to Mombasa in December 2001 in search of better opportunities, after his secondary education. He joined the Maximum Miracle Centre Church led by Pastor Pius Muiru right away. He was able to survive on a stipend provided by the church thanks to his skills as a choir teacher and keyboard player.
He nurtured these crafts while he was a member of CU at Miwani Boys High School and a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Seme. Then, he went on to become a praise and worship teacher.
