Uri The Surgical Strike movie is based on a real-life event that happened in India In 2016. In 2016 some Pakistani militants enter the Indian Army Base in URI after crossing the Indian Line of Control. They killed 19 unarmed soldiers brutally and ran away from there. After which Indian army counter-attacked the Pakistani Militants after entering there based a few kilometers away from the Indian-Pakistani border. They entered Pakistan without telling Pakistani military forces. A troop of professionally trained Indian Soldiers made a surgical strike on the base of terrorists in Pakistan and kills all the living Pakistani terrorists there. All soldiers returned back without losing any single fellow Indian soldier.

Director Aditya Dhar announced the making of this movie in 2017 and later it got released on 11th January 2018. The 138-minute-long movie revolves around Vihaan Singh Shergill a team leader of the Para Military Troop that enter Pakistan. This character is played by Vicky Kaushal. Vihaan Singh Shergill is based on Col Kapil Yadav who was a real leader of the troop during the 2016 Surgical Strike. The complete movie will show how the Indian Army planned a surgical strike.
