Vince August was born and raised in Hackensack, New Jersey, to Sicilian immigrant parents. As of 2023, he must be in his 40’s as his actual date of birth is not known. The New York Times named him Powerlifter of the Year in their 1990 year in review for the Juniors Division (ages 20-23).
He attended Fordham University College of Business Administration and graduated with a Bachelor of Science and honors in accounting in 1991. One year later, he attended New York Law School where he won the Froessel Moot Court Competition as a first-year law student.
